Secret Santa for Friends FAQs
What are good secret santa gifts for friends?
For friends, you can be more personal than with coworkers. Great options include the Slip Silk Sleep Mask, a Lush bath bomb set, or a Wine Tumbler paired with a bottle of their favorite wine. Games like Exploding Kittens or What Do You Meme? are perfect for friend groups. Budget range of $15-$35 covers all excellent picks here.
What is a typical secret santa budget among friends?
Most friend group secret santas set budgets between $15-$30. The Lush Bath Bomb set ($30) and S'well bottle ($35) hit the upper range and feel genuinely special. At the lower end, a Voluspa Mini Candle ($12) + Burt's Bees set ($15) bundled together makes a great $25-$27 package.
What secret santa gifts do people actually use?
Practical gifts get the most daily use. S'well and wine tumblers are used constantly. Wireless chargers (used every day), quality candles (burned weekly), and sleep masks (every night) all have high utility. Games like Exploding Kittens get regular use when friends hang out.
Should I personalize a secret santa gift for a friend?
With friends you can personalize more than with coworkers, but stick to broad preferences rather than niche specifics. If you know they love wine, get the wine tumbler. If they're into wellness, the Slip Silk mask or Lush set is perfect. The key is showing you know something about them without over-specifying.
Our Verdict
The Slip Silk Sleep Mask is our top pick for a memorable gift - it's a product people don't buy for themselves but genuinely love once they try it. For the typical $20-$30 friend budget, the Lush Bath Bomb Set is the most reliably loved option.
For a fun group gift, bring Exploding Kittens and make a night of it - the game becomes the event. The S'well Bottle is our pick for the most practical gift that will actually get used every single day.
