Follow friends to see their public wishlists and upcoming events in one place. Gift ideas surface automatically — no more last-minute scrambling to find out what they want.
Step by step
Follow a friend in four steps
Search for a friend by name or username
Use the search bar at the top of BennyList to find your friend. Type their name or @username. Public profiles appear in search results.
Click Follow on their profile
Open their profile page and click the Follow button. You can unfollow at any time from the same button.
See their lists in your feed
Once you follow someone, their public wishlists and upcoming event dates appear in your home feed and gift calendar. You can browse and reserve items directly from the feed.
Get notified before their events
Enable event reminders in your notification settings so BennyList emails you a few days before a followed friend's event date.

Following is one-directional — they won't be notified unless they also follow you.
Only Listed wishlists appear in your feed. Unlisted lists require a direct link.

How do I follow a friend on BennyList?
Search for your friend by name or username, open their profile, and click Follow. Their public wishlists and event dates will then appear in your home feed and gift calendar.
Will my friend know I followed them?
BennyList does not send a notification when someone follows you. Your friend can see their follower count in their profile, but they aren't alerted individually.
Can I see unlisted wishlists by following someone?
No. Unlisted wishlists are hidden from profiles and feeds regardless of whether you follow the person. You need the direct share link to access an unlisted list.
How do I unfollow someone?
Visit their profile and click the Unfollow button. Their lists will no longer appear in your feed or calendar. You can also manage follows in Account Settings under Following.
How do I get others to follow me?
Make your wishlists Listed (not Unlisted) so they appear on your public profile. Share your profile link or wishlist links with friends so they can find you and click Follow.
