How to Add a Co-Owner to Your Wishlist or Registry

Step by step
Add a co-owner in four steps
Open your wishlist or registry settings
Go to the list you want to share management of. Click the Settings or Edit button โ usually a gear icon or a button near the list title.
Find the "Co-owners" or "Contributors" section
Scroll down in your list settings to the Co-owners section. This is where you can invite collaborators who can edit and manage the list alongside you.
Enter their email address and send the invite
Type the email address of the person you want to invite. They will receive an email with a link to accept. They need a free BennyList account to become a co-owner.
They accept the invite and can start editing
Once they accept, the list appears in their dashboard and they can add, edit, or remove items. They can also see reservations but only after the event date โ the same rules apply to both owners.

How do I add my partner to our registry?
Open your registry or wishlist, go to Settings, and find the Co-owners section. Enter your partner's email address and send the invite. They will receive an email to accept and once they do, the registry appears in their own BennyList dashboard.
Does my partner need a BennyList account?
Yes. To become a co-owner, your partner needs a free BennyList account. If they don't have one yet, accepting the invitation will prompt them to create one โ it only takes a minute.
What can a co-owner do?
A co-owner can add new items, edit existing items (name, price, URL, notes), remove items, and view reservations after the event date. They cannot delete the list or change the primary owner.
Can I have more than one co-owner?
Yes. You can invite multiple co-owners by adding additional email addresses in the Co-owners section. This is useful for large group registries or family lists.
Can a co-owner see who reserved items?
Yes โ co-owners have the same view as the list owner. They can see who reserved what after the event date passes, just like you can.
How do I remove a co-owner?
Open your list settings, find the Co-owners section, and click the remove button next to the co-owner's name. The list will immediately disappear from their dashboard.
