Set up your wedding registry in four steps
Create a free BennyList account
Sign up at bennylist.com — it's free. You'll need an account to create a registry and manage your gifts.
Choose New Registry and select Wedding
From your dashboard, click New Registry. Select Wedding as the registry type. You'll see an extra field for your event location and a custom URL slug.
Add your wedding details
Enter your registry name (e.g. "Sarah & James's Wedding"), your wedding date, and an optional venue location. Set a custom URL like bennylist.com/r/sarah-and-james.
Share the link and add a co-owner
Copy your registry link to add to your wedding website or invitations. Invite your partner as a co-owner so you can both manage the list.

Is BennyList free to use for a wedding registry?
Yes, BennyList is completely free. There are no fees for creating a registry, adding items, or sharing your list with guests.
Can I add items from any store?
Yes. Paste a product link from any online store — Amazon, Target, Crate & Barrel, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or anywhere else. BennyList tries to auto-fill the product name, photo, and price. You can also add items by hand without a link.
Can my partner also manage the registry?
Yes. Open your registry settings and invite your partner by email as a co-owner. They can add, edit, and remove items just like you can.
What is the difference between a registry and a wishlist?
A registry is designed for structured events like weddings. It includes a custom URL slug (like /r/your-name), an event location field, and a wedding/baby type selector. A wishlist is a general-purpose list for any occasion.
Can guests see who else reserved what?
Guests visiting your registry can see which items are already reserved (shown with a Reserved badge), but they cannot see who reserved them. The reserver's identity is kept private.
When can I see who bought what?
After your event date, you can visit the View Purchases section of your registry to see who reserved each item. Before the event, it stays hidden so your gifts are a surprise.
Can I add my registry to our wedding website?
Yes. Copy your registry share link from the Share Link section and paste it anywhere — your wedding website, Zola, The Knot, an email, or a text to family members.
