How to Create a Wishlist on BennyList
Set a name, pick an emoji, add an event date, and your list is ready to share — the whole thing takes about a minute.

Step by step
Create a wishlist in four steps
Sign in to your BennyList account
Go to bennylist.com and sign in. If you don't have an account, creating one is free and takes under a minute.
Click New Wishlist from your dashboard
On your dashboard, find the New Wishlist button. You can create as many wishlists as you like — one for each occasion.
Name your list and choose an emoji
Give your list a clear name like “Birthday Wishlist” or “Holiday 2026.” Tap the emoji button to pick one that fits the occasion.
Set an event date and visibility, then save
Add an event date if you have one — this controls when gift-givers' purchases are revealed to you. Choose Listed (on your profile) or Unlisted (link only), then click Save.

How do I create a wishlist on BennyList?
Sign in, click New Wishlist from your dashboard, give it a name, choose an optional event date and visibility setting, and click Save. Your list is ready to share immediately.
How many wishlists can I have?
As many as you like. Create separate lists for your birthday, holidays, a home renovation project, or any occasion. Each list gets its own share link.
What is the difference between Listed and Unlisted?
Listed wishlists appear on your public BennyList profile. Unlisted lists are hidden from your profile — only people with the direct share link can find them. Both can be shared via link.
What does the event date do?
The event date tells BennyList when to reveal who purchased your items. Before the event, you can't see who reserved what — the surprise is protected. After the event date, you can visit View Purchases to see your gift-givers and send thank-you notes.
Can I change the name or settings after creating a wishlist?
Yes. Open your wishlist, click the Settings or Edit button, and you can update the name, emoji, event date, cover photo, and visibility at any time.
What is the difference between a wishlist and a registry?
A wishlist is a general-purpose list for any occasion. A registry is designed for structured events like weddings or baby showers — it includes extra fields for event location, a custom URL slug, and registry type. Both support sharing and item reservations.
